Today, you are going to be writing the instructions for your game!

Remember, when we write instructions, we use what we call commands - these tell us to do something!

Year 2 - Instructions

Now it's time for you to write your instructions! Make sure they are clear and are set out clearly too. Start a new line for each new step.

I have attached the word mats below to help you with your instructions

Adverbs - words that describe how we do something. E.g. carefully, slowly, quickly.
Imperative (bossy) verbs - we use these to tell someone how to do something - used in commands
Time conjunctions - we use these to tell someone when we do something. E.g. first, second, then, next
