Today, you are going to revise counting in steps of 2, 5 and 10. We have had a go at this in class already and you all did so well! So it is time to show off and show us how fantastic you are.

First step is to have a go at 'painting the square' by using this interactive game (link below).

When you click on the link, follow these instructions:

  • Click 'play the game'
  • Click '1-100' to get a number square up
  • Then, have a go at counting up in 2s. Choose a colour and select all the numbers going up in 2s. You should start to see a pattern.
  • Repeat for 5s
  • Repeat for 10s

Now, following the sheet below, have a go at answering the questions.

Use this as your  date and learning question in your red Maths books:

Can I count in steps of 2, 5 and 10?

Use the number square (in the 'Paint the square' link above) to help you work these answers out. For example, when it says 'Jack: after 5 jumps'. Start on 0 (put your finger before 1) and jump in 10s 5 times.

Scroll down to find the answers to the questions! Only look at these after you have had a go at completing the work. Feel free to mark your own work!
