Mrs Harvey's Phonics Group

Good morning.

This is our last phonics lesson for this week.

I will send certificates out to anybody who has completed each of this weeks activities and sent it to me or messaged me. Don't worry if you are on catch up over the weekend, you won't miss out!

Mrs.Howarth

Friday 15th January

Today’s phonics is to revise those trigraphs we have learned this week, ear, air and ure. Remind your adults what each of the actions are.

1. Practise all those phase 3 sounds that you have learnt. Include graphemes from phase 3 sets (ensure all have a tick). Click on the link below. I would love to know your score.

2. Next watch the video to remind yourself of the air, ure and ear trigraphs

3. Finally complete the ‘ear, ure, air’ worksheet. I tried, but couldn't make this one an interactive sheet, so it is a download. Remember to send it to Mrs.Howarth on Dojo.

There is no expectation to print off any of the sheets. You can print, write onto the sheet on your device, write onto a piece of paper, or in a work book and send a picture, or simply spell the words/sentences onto Dojo and send. Do whichever works best for you.

Phonics is a crucial skill for your child. Please ensure that these activities are completed independently, although they may help to understand what to do, they must read and write the sounds by themselves in order to practise these crucial skills. At this stage we do not expect that words are spelled correctly, but are spelled phonetically.
