End of term

We come to the end of the Spring term. A most unusual end to the term- not having been in school together now for almost 3 weeks. As we started the term in January, none of us could ever have expected this. Self-isolation, social distancing, working from home wherever possible and only making essential journeys. We all appreciate how difficult these times are trying to juggle family life, work, worries about keeping jobs and then add to that home learning. We realise that this brings it’s challenges – accessing the work, devices to access the internet and printing for a start. The staff have worked hard finding ways to make learning from home accessible for all. We review this all the time. A couple of parents have asked about using Zoom. The Senior Leaders discussed this at the start of the week and decided, for safeguarding reasons, it is not something we will be doing . You will be pleased to know that the staff will not be sending home work suggestions over the next two weeks, as we start what would have been the Easter holidays. School will be closed for the two weeks. In the middle of this we should hear from the government regarding future plans. A big thank you to everyone for their support in these challenging circumstances. Keep safe everyone.
