  • Instrument Lessons

We know that children and families are already very busy and that for some, the cost of lessons is a concern. That's why we use Wigan Council's Music Service to provide lessons in school and at a really affordable price.

Which instrument and how much does it cost?

We can provide tuition on almost every musical instrument

Orchestral Strings (violin, viola, cello, double bass)

Brass (trumpet, trombone, corent, tenor horn, French horn, euphonium, baritone, tuba)

Woodwind (flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, bassoon)

    Recorder

    Piano/Keyboard

    Guitar

    Drum kit

    Voice

    Good to know...

You are never too old to learn to play, but children in KS1 are generally too young for most instruments

Usually, lessons take place during the school day

Beginner players play in groups of two or three pupils but you can pay more for an individual lesson

Costs are £6.99 per week (for a group lesson)

Need help with the cost of lessons? If you are in circumstances of hardship, the Assisted Tuition Scheme might be able to help

Ready to give it a go?

Come into the school office and speak to us, we'll be able to advise on when your child will be able to start

School take responsibility for the collection of lesson fees and will let you know about payment arrangements

You don't need to buy an instrument, Wigan Music Service have a hire scheme

(the cheapest instruments bought online are often not suitable to start lessons, Wigan Music Service have good quality and carefully selected instruments to ensure your child has the best possible start)
