Thank you all for your support on Tuesday when we had our Siams Inspection. All of the children were amazing- and were proud to show off their school. In approximately 3 weeks I should have the report back ready to share with you.
On Wednesday our Year 5 class went to Liverpool Walker Art Gallery. They had a great day, and were complimented on their excellent behaviour in the gallery. Thank you Year 5 for being super role models, displaying a love of learning.
Many of our Y6 pupils completed their bikeability level 2 training this week, learning how to cycle safely on our streets. Well done to them- and again I had such positive feedback on how they listened and followed instructions.
Next week is anti-bullying week. The focus this year is ‘Choose respect’. Throughout the week we will be talking to the children about this. On Tuesday we have odd sock day. The children are encouraged to wear odd socks for school, as we celebrate our uniqueness. On Tuesday the photographer is in school to take individual photographs. I will send more information home on Monday. The Y5/6 family worship will still take place on Tuesday morning- with refreshments available in the community room beforehand. We finish Tuesday off with our parent/ teacher meetings. These will be held in the school hall.
Good attendance is key to a child’s success in school and later in life. In the parent/ teacher meetings next week we will be sharing your child’s attendance with you. On analysis of our data so far, out of the 9 weeks we have been in school, in 4 of the weeks we see a jump in absence on Fridays. I appreciate that the children can get tired as the week progresses but it is important that children are in school every day they are well enough to attend.
Have a lovely weekend.
