Weekly Update

It has been lovely to see a few new faces in our Bee Ready Club this week. We hope the children have enjoyed it.  The children are welcome any time.

We have a number of things happening next week. On Tuesday we have our final family worship of this school year. This will be with Y5 & Y6. As always, all family members are welcome. Please arrive at the start of the day and join us in the Community Room for refreshments, before worship at 9.10am. It would be lovely to see you there. Later on Tuesday morning, at 11.00am we are inviting families who are interested in our nursery to visit St. Stephen’s. We are not in a position to show them our nursery, but we do welcome them to our Reception and outdoor provision. Please let others know about this.

On Wednesday morning our Y6 pupils will be going to Manchester Cathedral for a Leavers’ Service. These are really special services where the children join with many other pupils from Manchester Diocese as they prepare to go to High School. On Wednesday afternoon we look forward to welcoming our new Reception families into school for our Reception Fun Afternoon.

On Thursday morning we will be holding our Sports Day. Looking at the weather forecast at the moment it looks like it will be a warm day. We are usually ready to start around 9.30am, and finish around 11.30am. There will be some chairs put out, but you are welcome to bring your own chair. We hold our Sports Day on the field beyond the Infant yard.

Friday is a non-uniform day. On this day we are inviting the children to come in their own choice of clothes, and bring an item for our Summer Fair. The suggestions is that the Infants bring sweets/ chocolate/ biscuits, and the Juniors bring a bottle of any sort (pop, sauce, toiletries, alcohol etc).

Thank you to everyone who has sent in their sponsored walk money. So far we have raised over £1,700. If you still need to send in your money, please do so next week.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.
