Thank you so much to you all for your generosity today with items for the Summer Fair. We will continue to collect things next week too. We are hoping to have a Teddy stall. If you have any good quality soft toys, please wash and send to school. The Summer Fair is taking place on Saturday 28th June from 11.00am to 2.00pm. Please contact the school office if you are able to help out setting up or clearing away.
From Monday, the Lighthouse Club- before and after-school clubs – will be using the Sunshine Room door to come into and leave school. The door is accessed from the carpark, and there are signs in the window. The staff have done a great job in transferring everything across from the Community Room.
Unfortunately I was unable to hear the brass performance on Wednesday morning- but Mrs Lowe was really impressed with the Y4 performance. Well done everyone! As the children move into Y5 they are entitled to subsidised music lessons. Y3 will soon be meeting Mr. Ford and arranging the brass instrument they will play next year as they move into Y4. The children in Y2 will also be receiving information about music lessons as they move into the juniors. All junior children are able to have music lessons if they wish to. More information is available from the office.
I was at the Cathedral on Wednesday morning with Y6. We had a wonderful Leavers’ Service. The children were great joining in in all the songs, both singing and dancing.
Mr. Clark has asked me to share with you some information regarding school meals. From September meals will increase to £2.61 per meal.
On Monday morning our Y4 pupils go to Bispham Hall on a 2-night residential. Mr. Burrows, Mrs. Deakin, Miss Longshaw & Mrs Wallace are accompanying the children. I am sure they will all have a great time.
Have a lovely weekend.
