Last half term Erin, Lois, Daniel and Oliver took part in a collaborative art project with children from 3 other schools. They created the jigsaw piece, representing all areas of our community that come together.
Year 5 and 6 children have all completed an art project in class, based on Community. The children thought about the buildings, places and people that make up their own community and created art based on this. 10 children were chosen to represent St Stephen's in the Art Exhibition - Erin, Lois, Oliver, Daniel, Susie, Molly, Kate, Eibhear - Year 5
Blake, Logan, Harvey - Year 6
All the children who had art work in the exhibition were invited Wednesday afternoon to Leigh Spinners Mill. They had a preview of the exhibition and met some artists who have studios in the mill - it was a fantastic afternoon. In the evening, children came back with their families for the exhibition.
The exhibition started with our community choir, St Stephen's and St George's sang a song together before each school choir performed two songs of their own. Thank you to Ava, Hattie, Libby (Year 3), Charlotte (Year 4), Erin, Susie, Talia (Year 5) who came along to sing.
We are all so proud of all our children, and already can't wait for next years Exhibition, as it's officially now an annual event!
A huge thanks to Mrs Tomlinson for putting together the exhibition for our schools.
