Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
This week is Christian Aid week in school. This year the charity is raising money to support women in Ethiopia. Many women who live in the rural areas struggle to feed their families and find a source of income. In such communities people are only allowed to vote on community issues if they own cattle. Christian Aid are fundraising to provide women with cows. This gives them a voice in the community, milk, cheese and butter and a source of income. At school we will be having a non-uniform day on Friday and if any children would like to they can use the cow theme to help them dress up or paint their faces. If your child would like to take part please can you send them with a donation (we suggest £1) in their Christian Aid envelope.
If you would like to find out more about the work in Ethiopia you can find a short film on our website and facebook page.
Today starts Christian Aid week. This year the charity is working with women in Ethiopia and helping them to have a voice in their community. Providing women with a cow gives them status and a voice in their community, as well as providing milk, cheese and butter for her children and a small income for the family.
Look out for donation envelopes coming home this week.

Our Year 6s have been working really hard and have shown great focus in their preparation. I am sure they will all do their best and have opportunity to show how much they have learnt.
Best wishes to all the class.
