  • Update 1.3.23

    Wed 01 Mar 2023

We are all really looking forward to World Book Day tomorrow at St. Stephen’s. The staff have chosen some lovely picture books based on our values to share with the children. From Year 1 onwards the children will spend the day in their houses reading the texts and carrying out a number of activities. Reception will stay together as a class. We will be sharing the work with you on Thursday 9th March if you are able to join us for our assemblies: Infants at 9.15am and Juniors at 2.45pm. Tomorrow we are celebrating how special and unique we all are. The children are invited to come to school in their favourite clothes/ their comfiest clothes/ something from a club they attend or a hobby of theirs.

We're really excited about an amazing opportunity we've been given alongside Bedford High School by Wigan Steam. During this half term we will be having an Artist in Residence at St Stephens. Ella Jones will be at school every Thursday; each class will get the opportunity to see Ella working and view an exhibition of her work. Ella will be setting a mini project for every class and will be working on a bigger project with Year 6. There will be an exhibition of all the children's work before we finish for Easter - more details to follow.
