Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Today we come to the end of this short half-term. It has been a very busy one, and I’m sure everyone is ready for the break next week. Mr Lawrenson was proud of our Year 5 and 6 girls on Monday at the Football Festival. They did a great job, winning one, drawing one and narrowly losing two. Well done to the team: Luciana, Jennifer, Mercedes, Kiera, Scarlett, Tilly, Laura, Ella and Anna. Special mention to Brooke, who got injured at the last minute, and to the supporting parents. On Tuesday Ben A’s mum was in Y4 delivering a money workshop ‘The Rocket bank’. Thank you for a very enjoyable and informative session. Newsletters and After-school club letters have been sent home recently. If you are having a clear out over the holiday then a Bag2School has come home today. The bags are to be brought back to school on Friday 7th June. Don’t forget to collect your raffle ticket for every bag brought into school. Have a lovely break. See you on Tuesday 4th June.
Congratulations to our year 6’s. They have coped really well with their Sats this week, and shown a mature attitude. Well done everyone. Thanks too to all the staff for their work in preparing the children for the assessments. It’s a whole team effort, and starts from day one in Reception. Our children are really lucky to have such dedicated staff, who provide a fantastic education in a loving and caring manner. Thank you everyone. My headteacher’s awards have gone today to years 2 and 6. They have worked so hard. Well done! We have recently appointed Florence, Aaron, Max and Capprice. Congratulations! Have a lovely week-end everyone!
We had a good week in school last week. My Headteachers Awards on Friday went to Reception and Year 4. I have been impressed with both classes and their attitude in and out of class. Well done everyone! Miss Wild has persevered in setting up notifications on our new school app, TheSchoolApp. Thank you Miss Wild. Please download the app and have a look. This is now our main method of communication. On Tuesday 7th May Mr Puckey and Year 4 are at Clitheroe castle. I am looking forward to the music concert on Wednesday morning, when all our Junior classes will be performing. Do come along if you are able to. It starts at 9.30am.
