  • Bolton School Science Festival

    Tue 30 Jun 2015
It was an absolute joy to take four Y5 pupils to Bolton school for their Science festival today. In the morning we visited the Girls' Division where we used chemistry to explore the effectiveness of energy drinks; made flying mice to investigate gravity and learnt about the make up of the skeleton. In the afternoon we moved over to the Boys' Division to carry out tests about being a good athlete and using chemistry to investigate the make up of jelly babies. Maddy, Leon, James and Eva made me very proud and were highly complimented by the staff at Bolton school for their concentration, enthusiasm and great answers.
  • Sports Day

    Sun 28 Jun 2015

Reminder - weather permitting Wednesday is Sports' Day. Everyone should come dressed in sports wear in their house colours: Hanover - yellow, Tudor - red, Stuart - blue, Windsor - green. In the morning houses will take part in an age appropriate rounders tournament. The throwing and jumping events will also take place. In the afternoon, track races will be run along with the tug of war.

Please make sure your child has a bottle of water for the afternoon. Fruit will be available if children bring 50p in the morning. It would also be a good idea to put suncream on your child and send them with a hat - it may just be sunny!
