  • Update 29.4.22

    Fri 29 Apr 2022

    Good afternoon,

Just a few messages before we go into the Bank Holiday weekend. School is obviously closed on Monday as it is Bank Holiday. We are also closed on Thursday, when the school hall is being used for polling.

On Tuesday the children will be having their class photograph taken. All pupils are to come to school in FULL UNIFORM even if it is their P.E. day.

Next Wednesday, 4th May, Rector Martin will be in school for an Infant assembly at 2.45pm. Family members of our Infant pupils are invited to join us – no need to book a place. Please arrive at the Junior gate on the carpark at 2.40pm.

Some dates for your diary: we will be holding our Platinum Jubilee Celebrations in school on Thursday 26th May, including coming to school wearing red, white and blue. On Friday 27th May we will be having a Sponsored Walk in the afternoon. More information will follow about these next week.

And finally. Today we said our goodbyes to Miss Wild. Thank you so much for all you have done for us at St. Stephen’s Miss Wild, and we wish you all the very best in your new job.

Have a lovely long weekend everyone.

  • Update 22.4.22

    Fri 22 Apr 2022

    Good afternoon everyone,

It has been lovely to see everyone back in school this week. Thank you to Miss Reynolds and Mrs Lowe who ran the Y2 / 6 Sats meetings earlier in the week (which included Low Bank Ground information for Y6). We hope you found the meetings helpful. Next week we have a meeting for the Parent’s Association at 3.15pm. Everyone is invited as we look at fund-raising events for this term and the new school year. If you can’t make it but have any ideas or would like to be kept informed of events and help required, please send a dojo message to Mrs Crowther.

A total of £38.69 was raised in the Bank your Bronze buckets throughout Lent. Y6 raised the most money, and were rewarded with some homemade cakes from Mrs Harvey. Y3 were closest with their guess of the total amount of the 5ps (£27.40) in the bottle (just 5p out!)

Please note that SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED on Monday 2nd May for the Bank Holiday and on Thursday 5th May, when the building is being used for polling purposes. Please refer to the March newsletter and the holiday list on the school website.

Next Friday we will be saying goodbye to Miss Wild as she starts a new job. We wish her all the best. Good luck to our football team in their match after school tonight.

Take care everyone and have a lovely weekend.

    Mrs Southern
