• Greek Day

  Year 5 have had a fantastic day as Ancient Greeks. Portals into the past commented on how polite the class were and what a lovely response he had from the group.

  

• Writing Success

  Yesterday, author Alan Gibbons visited to school to work with some of our Y5 and Y6 writers on a Writing Success project. The day included writing a fantasy story and preparing performance poems. Alan also took our afternoon assembly for the whole school and told us a funny story about a gorilla. Books by Alan Gibbons are now available in the Y5 and 6 reading books.

  

• Wish FM Breakfast Show

  Yesterday we had Chris Milow from Wish FM in school to record with Year 5 for his breakfast show. Five children's names were chosen from the pot and they recorded the Little Lyrics slot, all of Year 5 also recorded a greeting. If you would like to listen to their part of the show it will be aired as follows (always at 8.05)

• House winners

  Today we had our house prize, Windsor were our winners and had chance to build a giant lego model of Manchester. Well done for winning!
  Team building said that the children were excellent, showing fantastic behaviour and lovely manners. They commented that St Stephen's was a really lovely school with a great balance between fun and discipline. The best school they have visited this week. Thank you to Windsor for being such good ambassadors.
