  • Update 26.3.21

    Fri 26 Mar 2021

Thank you to everyone for all their hard work this week. Over the last 3 weeks we have been settling the children back in to the routines and carrying out assessments. All the information we have gathered will then be used to plan the support needed next term.

We have spent some time in school this week reflecting on the last 12 months, and our hopes for the future. Yesterday our Year 3 enjoyed a Roman Day.

Next week is the final week of this term. We are in school up to and including Wednesday 31st March. Thank you so much to everyone who has entered the Easter Draw, and to everyone who provided the eggs for the draw. Special thanks to Helen Ashworth (Helen.ashworth@travelcounsellors.com) for the hamper. On Tuesday the Easter Draw will take place and will be made available for all the pupils to see. Y4 are busy organising the Easter Service, and we will be able to watch that on Wednesday.

    Have a lovely weekend.

  • Update 19.3.21

    Fri 19 Mar 2021

We have had a school full of superheroes today. Thank you to everyone for joining in the fun and for the donations for Comic relief. The money will be counted next week and we will let you know how much money has been raised.

Some reminders regarding the measures put in place for everyone’s safety. We ask that one parent/ carer only brings the children to school/ collects the children each day. Please use the one way system that is in place – on arrival use the path leading up to the school entrance (or the driveway) and the path by church to exit the site. All adults coming on to the school site are required to wear a mask (unless exempt). Please remember to remain socially distant as you are waiting.  I ask for your support with all of the measures. It is important that we all continue to follow the latest guidance in full as we follow the government’s roadmap out of lockdown.

Don’t forget about the Easter Draw that Y3 are organising. They are collecting eggs if anyone would like to contribute. All entries into the draw – 50p in an envelope- are accepted until Friday 26th march. There are some super prizes to be won.

Take care everyone, and have a good weekend.

  • Update 12.3.21

    Fri 12 Mar 2021

It has been lovely to see everyone back in school this week, and the children have all settled back to the routines. Well done everyone! Thank you to all our families for their continued support. Whilst some rules have changed and the children have returned to school, please can I stress that we are not complacent. We are still in a national lockdown and must stay at home, minimising the time spent outside our homes. There should be no household mixing indoors or outdoors unless in your support or childcare bubble. We are all required to stay 2m apart from anyone not in our household or support bubble and follow the guidance on how to stop the spread of coronavirus at all times. I am aware of a number of schools already having to close class bubbles. This is something I am sure we would all like to avoid.

I have been in touch with Mr Peacock’s family and they have requested donations are made to school. If anyone would like to contribute to a collection in his memory, then please send the money in to school (by the end of term) in a labelled envelope. We will look to buying something for the children at school in his memory.

Stay safe, and have a lovely weekend everyone.
