    This week's Ollie award has been based on writing. The winners are:
    Year 6 for their excellent fairground work, including the green pen improvements they have made.
    Reception for their wonderful writing about their bear hunt.

    This week Reception class went on a bear hunt. Lynden and Stanley have written a wonderful piece about their journey. They are making super progress and have headteacher's awards. Well done boys.

    Well done to Tilly and Roxanne who received headteacher awards this week for their wonderful maths work on adding and subtracting 10.
  • Roman Chester

    Year 3 had a fantastic time on their visit to Roman Chester this week. Their behaviour was wonderful and they were great ambassadors for St Stephen's. This week they have been making a book all about life in Roman times together.

    For this week's Ollie award classes were challenged to settle to work quickly and make the most of their learning by being organised and on time. Everyone has worked really hard to achieve this in class and parents have helped by making sure their children are in school promptly for 8.55 ready to start phonics and Ican maths. This week's winners are:
    Year 2 - This class have worked really hard on settling to work quickly and have been very organised.
    Year 3 - This class have been making the most of their learning time by listening carefully and following instructions quickly.

  • Ican maths

    Well done to Mr Lawreson and Miss Ormerod's Ican maths groups who have both moved up books this week and have tried a more challenging level. Both groups have been scoring highly each week and are ready for some deeper thinking. Well done for all you hard work.
  • Year 3 Roman Day

    Year 3 had a wonderful Roman Day to follow up their trip to Chester. They wrote poems, made mosaics, created coins and enjoyed a special Roman lunch provided by Sharon. Thanks to Melissa and Miss Parkinson for organising such a great day for the class. They looked brilliant in their costumes.
