  • Update 9.10.20

    Fri 09 Oct 2020

We have quickly come to the end of another week in school. Well done to everyone for all their support and hard work. Today we held a virtual Welcome Service for our Reception pupils with Rector Martin, and have shared it with their families. Next week Year 3 are going to record a Harvest Service for us to share in school. All donations for our harvest collection for Atherton & Leigh Foodbank are most welcome, and can be dropped off at school at the gates each morning next week. There are just 2 weeks remaining now of this half-term. On Monday 2nd November, after the half-term break, the photographer is due in school to take individual school photographs. The plan is that the children will have their photograph taken individually a class at a time. We will not be able to do sibling photographs at this time, but this may be possible the next time the photographer is in school later in the year. Have a lovely weekend. Stay safe everyone.

    Fri 02 Oct 2020

The days and weeks are passing very quickly now that all the new routines are established. Thank you to the pupils, their families and all the staff for their hard work in making things run smoothly. This week saw the return of our year 5 class. It has been great to have them back in school. On Wednesday our Year 4 class had their first lesson with Mr Ford as they start to learn a brass instrument. Well done to everyone who has been using Microsoft teams for their homework and remote learning. Information is going to come home at the beginning of next week regarding setting up access for our Infant pupils. Although remote learning for the Infants will be mainly on dojo, there will be some occasions where Teams could potentially be used. I was lucky enough to be invited to a Teams meeting with Y6 this week, where they shared their performance poetry. Our week finished with a super assembly from our Y2 class that was also shared on Teams. Found one of Herbie’s teeth today. He’s hoping the tooth fairy brings him a new bed after he tore holes in his last one! Have a lovely weekend everyone!
