Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
A huge congratulations to Mrs Newton and our Infant dance team for winning the judge’s choice in their competition yesterday. The children couldn’t wait to get back to school to tell us all about it! Well done to: Darcey, Evelyn, Isabelle, Gracie, Zach, Seren, Emma, Annabelle and Laycy. Next week it’s our Junior dancers turn, as they take part in a competition on Wednesday afternoon. Today we had our first open session for new parents. Thank you to Aidan, Harrison, Olivia and Lydia for proudly showing our visitors round school. The next one takes place on Monday afternoon at 1.30pm. Also on Monday Y3 are having their Stone Age day. We have Y4 & Y6 music concert in the hall on Wednesday 29th November, starting around 9.30am. All parents are welcome to join us. On Thursday Nomad Rangers are working with Y5. This afternoon we said goodbye to Miss Roberts. We thank her for all that she has done here at St. Stephen’s supporting the pupils, and wish her all the best for the future.
Congratulations to our Cross Country team. Mr Puckey was so proud of them all. The girls were silver medal winners in the Wigan East competition. Overall, boys and girls came in 2nd place. Particular mention goes to Jasmine, the Wigan Girl's Champion, who came first in her race. Well done to: Ole, Fraser, Harrison, Charlie, Aidan, Jyus, Lucy, Mia, Jasmine, Faye, Anna and Lydia.
Tomorrow the children are invited to pay £1.00 and bring a teddy to school wearing a patch/bandage/plaster for Children in Need. Our Children in Need raffle is also taking place in the morning. Good luck everyone!
A huge thank you to the staff who have been up to Low Bank Ground this week. The children have had a great time. We look forward to hearing all about the week. Take a look at the Low Bank Ground news if you've not already done so. I am pleased to inform you of the result from our recent parent governor election. The successful candidates are Ceri Forster and Gareth Jones. We would like to thank those who put their names forward and we are sorry that there were insufficient places for all those interested this time. We have another busy week ahead. Next week is Anti Bullying week – with the focus ‘All Different, All Equal’. On Monday some of our Y6 pupils are taking part in a Basketball Competition after school. Rector Martin will be in Church with us on Wednesday afternoon- and there will be refreshments available before the service from 2.30pm. Year 1 are looking forward to working with Nomad Rangers on Thursday, and Friday is Children in Need. Have a lovely weekend.
