  We have made it to the last week of the term! The children finished this week with their Christmas lunch. Although these were in the classrooms this year, the children still enjoyed them. Thank you again to Sharon and Johanne for preparing them, and to all the staff who helped to get them out to the children. We have said that Monday is the last day to send in Christmas cards. They will then be left in the postboxes, before being sorted and given to the children to enjoy opening at home. It isn’t too late to enter the Christmas draw. All £1.00 entries to be sent in school by Wednesday morning. The draw will take place in the afternoon on Wednesday. Thursday is Christmas party day – and the children are welcome to come to school in their own choice of clothes. Thank you to the Parents’ Association who have arranged for all the children to watch the pantomime ‘Aladdin’ in their classrooms before we finish for Christmas. Friday is our last day in school, and each class will finish at their usual time between 2.45 and 3.15pm. Have a lovely weekend.

  We have had fun in school as we started Advent this week. The class postboxes look amazing, and are now in place in the classrooms. The last date for posting Christmas cards in school is Monday 14^th December. Thank you to Imogen and Sienna for putting the finishing touches to the Christmas tree. It looks great. Ivor and Jeremy (our school elves) are back! Can you spot them in the Christmas tree?

  Can I please remind you to return your data collection sheet if you have not already done so, and that all messages regarding pupil absences need to be reported to the school office. There is an option to leave a message if your call does not get answered. Next week we have our Christmas lunches at the end of the week. Children are welcome to wear a Christmas jumper or their own choice of clothes for school on Thursday and Friday next week.

  Countdown to Christmas 2020 at St. Stephen’s C.E. Primary School

  Our countdown is less busy than usual – but we are still keeping our St. Stephen’s traditions. The Carol Service will be made available to you before the end of term.
